Playmobile was created as a part of the Fashion Art project by Spanish painter RoRo, and fashion designer Manu Fernandez. RoRo’s influence creates a fusion of fashion and art that takes you to a geeky, hedonistic and kitschy universe, filled with humor, speculation, emotion, absurdity and poetry that coexist in one unique piece. It is an artistic bet where entertainment and reflection are one.
Fashion Art was created by Manuel Fernandez, it is a collaboration between visual artists and fashion designers in which their respective languages are combined to create a dress that is an authentic work of art. It is a project that is in constant evolution, where the fusion of Art and Fashion takes place in the eye of the spectator with the artists’ work taking center stage and the dress as the underlying canvas it is displayed on.
RoRo is the artistic name taken by Roberto Rodríguez, who is from Orotava in Tenerife, Spain. He graduated in Fine Arts from the University of La Laguna. His work has been regularly exhibited in both group and individual exhibitions since 2008 and throughout his career he has received many awards such as First Prize for Painting at the Enrique Lite National Painting Contest 2009 and the Telde Biennial in 2011, as well as various second prizes in regional competitions.
Manuel Fernández has worked in the world of fashion since 1983. His approach is avant-garde, with touches of idealism combined with a cosmopolitan flair, and he has always been committed to the internationalization of his designs. His designs are bold, daring, sensual, elegant and have a touch of humour.
